In an effort to recognize dedicated individuals and companies for their service to the landscape industry, NJLCA is asking for your nomination for the following awards listed below under Categories and Descriptions. These awards will be presented at the Landscape Achievement Awards and Holiday Gala. To nominate someone, please complete the Member Recognition Nomination Form below.
Requirements
- Nominee must be a member of the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association for at least three years (excludes Budding Contractor)
- Must be nominated by a fellow member who has also been a member of the NJLCA for at least one year.
- You may nominate someone from your own or another company.
- NJLCA Combined Board members may only be nominated by an individual not currently sitting on the Combined Board, who does not work for their company
Categories and Descriptions
Contractor of the Year Award
This award will be granted to a contractor member for outstanding service to the association and the industry for the year. This member demonstrates professionalism, knowledge and a willingness to help others.
Associate of the Year Award
This award will be granted to an associate member for contributions to the association over any period of time. This member will also offer outstanding customer service to members of the industry and/or innovation in his/her field.
Volunteer of the Year Award
This award will be granted to any member who has volunteered time, resources and efforts to help the association and his/her community in both service projects or assisting in NJLCA related events.
Budding Contractor of the Year Award
This award will be granted to a contractor member who has been in the business or has started a landscape business within the past five years and demonstrates professionalism, willingness to learn and participation in NJLCA related events.
Innovation Award
This award will be granted to an associate or vendor member who has introduced to its customers a new piece of equipment, technology or product that has vastly improved the efficiency, speed or profitability of landscaping businesses.
Nursery Presentation Award
This award will be granted to a nursery, grower or garden center member who has the best presentation and care of products at their facility.
MVP Award
This award winner will be nominated by their employer. It will be given to an employee who exemplifies what it is to be a model employee.
Customer Service Award
This award winner will be nominated by any individual and can be any member that is a vendor, supplier or service provider to the industry. Can include inside or outside sales representatives, service people, counter salespeople, mechanics, manufacturers representatives, bankers, insurance brokers, etc. This nominee has gone above and beyond normal customer service expectations and has greatly and positively affected a landscape contractor’s business.
Legislator of the Year Award
This award will be granted to a legislator that has supported the NJLCA in its mission to protect and professionalize the green industry in New Jersey.
